Short Links Saves You Money

If you want to send smaller text messages with fewer characters - and save money! - here is how to set up Short Links

Go to Tools on Dashboard

Go to Short Links

Then go to Google Docs where you will have written out your longer message

Go to Share in the upper right corner of Google Docs

Go to Get Link and change restricted to Change to anyone with the link

Check mark Anyone with the link

Then click Copy link

Go back to Dashboard on String Ping

Under Actions click on Add Short Link URL

Short URL Form appears

Name the Short URL

Paste the URL from Google

Save

Short Link has been saved

Go to Actions

Click on Green Text Box to Send

OR

Copy Short URL (stping.co)

and Paste in Messages under Send Bulk SMS

This method can also be used when linking to a signup page or newsletter.  Simply copy the long URL into the short link builder and then once created, copy the short link to insert in your SMS campaign.
