MMS - or Multimedia Messaging Service - are similar to Text Messaging (SMS) but they allow you to include photos, videos, audio, and GIFs.
MMS are mostly used for sending images and is a great way to send a visual prompt for a club event or holiday party. MMS messages cost 2 texting credits per sent message and SMS (under 160 characters) cost 1 credit.
Here are the steps to building an effective MMS Campaign:
Step 1 - Search for an effective image that helps to communicate your message.
Let's say you want to send an invite out to club members inviting them to a club BBQ. Just do a Google search for "BBQ Images" and when the page loads click on the "Google Images" tab.
Step 2 - Take a screen shot of the best image for your message and when you capture it try to choose the same approximate height and width so it is a square image. For example this one is about 140 x 140 pixels:
Save the image to your desktop.
Step 3 - Open your StringPing account and click on "Messages", then, "Send Bulk SMS", change the radio button from "SMS" to "MMS".
Step 4 - Click on "Select Image" then locate the saved image and select it. The image should appear in the MMS box. If you want to include any text message or some additional details you can write that in the "Default Message" box.
Step 5 - Before sending the MMS message to a group, it's a good idea to send the message to yourself or a friend to make sure everything looks good. Select "contact" and find yourself or a friendly contact for the test. If it's all good, then select the appropriate "group" and send away.
